Earth

Ahh, Earth, our precious earth. Did you know that our planet is the only planet that life can live on? Earth is a mighty special planet because it is the only planet that has water in it. Earth is approximately 93 million miles away from the sun. It is the perfect distance because if we were closer, the temperature would rise up, and if we were farther, the temperature would be too cold. Earth has one moon. Did you know that meteors burn up in the atmosphere because the atmosphere and the meteor are creating so much friction that it burns up. Ever wondered why we have seasons? It's because the Earth is on a tilt and is always on that tilt so when it revolves around the sun, different
sides of the earth hit the sun and others turn away from the sun and this cycle changes so that's how seasons come and go. In the picture below, when the northern hemisphere is closer to the sun, it is summer, and when it's farther, it's winter. Autumn and spring are when it's in the middle.

So remember, don't EVER underestimate the power of Earth, because it is the only planet you can live on.
