Mercury

Last post, we were talking about the solar system. Now we will talk about each planet individually. We'll first start with Mercury. Let me first tell you that Mercury is not a nice place to live. The year is only 88 days. The temperature is very unstable too. In the day the temperature is 800 degrees and at night, the temperature is -240 degrees. This is because of the thin atmosphere that can't block the heat in the day and trap the heat in the night. The distance between the sun and Mercury is about 36,000,000 miles. It looks a bit like the moon because it has craters and it is gray. Mercury, like Earth, is a rocky planet. So remember, Mercury is the first planet in the solar system and you would not want to live on it.
